Remember when I said that it was high time (you see what I did there??) for people of color (also known as “minorities” for those of you who might be over the age of 75) to begin to claim their stake in the evolving marijuana industry?
Well while I was damn adamant with that assertion I will admit that, at the time, I had NO flipping idea on how to actually accomplish such a thing. Hell I still don’t, which is why I write about weed and don’t sell it.
Because getting weed licences to open dispensaries or delivery services is not an easy process. If you don’t believe me read THIS.
What about being a budtender say you? That’s cool and all but the demand is high and you’ll start off making minimum wage (at least by California standards).
Okay so what about being a bud trimmer? While they do make VERY good SEASONAL money, many times you had better know someone who ACTUALLY OWNS A GROW OPERATION or the only thing you’ll be trimming is your overgrown lawn…. or pubes.
All is not lost though folks. I wouldn’t have written all those paragraphs if it was. You see, streaming live January 23-24 is the FIRST ever Virtual Cannabis Health Summit. Even better? It’s completely FREE:
- Cancer and cannabis
- PTSD and cannabis
- Pain and cannabis
- The truth about CBD
My name is Petey Wheatstraw, also known as Charles Stevens. I’m an avid marijuana smoker, writer, devoted father and non-profit minion– not necessarily in that order. A Chicago native I’ve lived off and on in the Bay Area since 1996. Seven years ago I finally settled here to capture the changing face of our communities.
