3 Apps for Horny Stoners

Quick, what do stoners like more than smoking weed?

Well sex, obviously.

And this doesn’t come from anecdotal evidence, either. Sex and weed, while great on their own, are damn near perfect together. Cannabis has the ability to make orgasms more intense and increase sexual stamina. Think of weed and sex as the Voltron of wanton desires.

But here’s the thing, not everyone likes cannabis. I know, I know, shocker, right? While alcohol may be overwhelmingly accepted as a societal drug the majority of Americans consume, cannabis, on the other hand, still struggles to shed its complicity as a drug which rips at the very polyester-esque fabric of our society. So sometimes it’s hard for cannabis smokers to come right out and say we’re smokers because we have been known to get a bad rap for it.

Fortunately, as cannabis begins to slowly shed its stigma, so does the stigma of dating a stoner. Okay, maybe that stigma remains but at least now we can get together and do the things that we stoners like to do. Hint: it’s the same shit as everyone else likes to do.

Below are 3 apps stoners can find love, friendship or just their next dealer.

HIGH THERE

Have you ever thought to yourself “gee, I wish I had someone to smoke and have sex with?” No? Well, you’re obviously not smoking enough. Like I said before, it’s common knowledge smoking weed makes us horny as hell, so why not take care of both needs at once? High There , an app available for iPhone or Android, is like Tinder for stoners, with an emphasis on linking like-minded individuals based on their smoking habits and preferences.  Like other dating sites you have the ability to create profiles, browse others profiles, email and chat. High There describes its target audience as “medirecreational” users of marijuana who do not want to be judged in the dating community any longer for their cannabis use.

Something unique about High There is they manage a Facebook page, a Twitter account, an Instagram account as well as a blog, all with the goal of connecting cannabis users to each other. Hell, maybe you’ll find your stoner soul mate on here or even your new boss. The possibilities are endless.

420 SINGLES

420 Singles has a considerably larger pool of attractive potheads to choose from. Moreover, this app helps to learn about the smoking rituals and practices of other cultures. StonedGirls, the community of high and beautiful women, use 420 singles to describe their stoney experiences.

420 Singles is literally run by a single person, Ryan, who started the 420 dating website after determining such a format was lacking from both the cannabis industry and the dating industry.

The site itself is fairly easy to use, although it doesn’t have the bells and whistles of other dating sites. Keep in mind, it is run by a single person and is free to use, so you get what you, in this case, don’t pay for.  You’ll find on the site many of the same functions as other dating sites such as email, chat, forums and profile browsing. With over 60,000 members, there is definitely a good chance for you to find someone you can eventually call your own.

420 Mate

Apparently, 420 Mate–a site that calls itself that cupid of cannabis– are the biggest, and consequently, most popular cannabis dating website on the web. They maintain a standing ethos that cannabis use is important to its community and therefore stoners should be able to participate in an online dating format that they know is already friendly towards cannabis (which definitely makes dating a whole lot easier). 420 mate is targeted towards both those using marijuana recreationally and those using it for medical reasons.

Like other dating sites you can fill out your own dating profile which allows you to be matched with other cannabis lovers.  What’s even better is there is a chat option that allows you speak to that stoner in Idaho about the latest episode of Bob’s Burgers– in real time.  With the option to join not costing you a dime, it can’t hurt to check it out and see who you pair with, pot-wise.

Petey Wheatstraw

My name is Petey Wheatstraw, also known as Charles Stevens. I'm an avid marijuana smoker, writer, devoted father and non-profit minion-- not necessarily in that order. A Chicago native I've lived off and on in the Bay Area since 1996. Seven years ago I finally settled here to capture the changing face of our communities. Click Here for Free CBD Products
